I take 200 mg Celebrex every day for arthritis. My RN friend says she takes Mobic 15 mg and it is the only arthritis medicine her hospital prescribes since it is safer and works better than Celebrex. I want to know why it is safer and what, if any, are the side effects?

Ibuprophen helps more than the muscle relaxer and the exercises may be helping a little and slowly. I am going for ...

My surgery has been canceled. Because I have been deemed too unhealthy to have surgery. Here's the scoop: After my surgery was originally scheduled, my rheumatologist put me on two new drugs, Neurontin and Tramadol. Friday was quite an eventful day, which is pretty impressive, considering my many limitations. It started off with a morning in which I couldn't sleep too much. This has continued since then, and I know I'm leaning toward the hypomanic side, so I blame it on this. Due to this, I started reading my b ...

So, I haven't written in quite a while, because my life has been stuck at such a standstill. Lying around in bed all day doesn't provide much inspiration for writing. I think I've finally collected enough little stories to add up to one post. I've seen Dr. W, my pain management doctor, a few times. ...

I haven’t been feeling like myself for quite a while. Okay, okay…I’ve been in a lot of pain. A LOT OF PAIN! And stiffness. Sometimes, I could barely move. I finally went to the doctor and confirmed what I had already self-diagnosed–I have osteoarthritis. It’s one thing to think you know what’s going ...
